My work as an artist is a natural extension of my lifelong interest in how things work. Sculpture and vessels provide problems that require investigation, trial, error, and intuition to complete. Exploring individual forms, inventing the process that needs to be used to achieve the concept, and developing visual language is a never-ending pursuit. Approaching clay with a cooperative attitude and the continuing dialog with the form is what motivates me to get in the studio each day to do the work.
